BIO
Jose A. Parody is a Colombian Emmy Award–winning composer based in Los Angeles. Known for blending classical composition with contemporary production techniques, his work carries a distinctive sonic signature across genres—from drama to documentary.
He recently scored American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders, a Netflix documentary series directed by Zachary Treitz and produced by Stardust Frames and Duplass Brothers Productions. He is currently scoring Tom Laffay’s upcoming documentary feature Tigre Eléctrico, which offers an immersive look at the Siona Indigenous People’s ethno-political struggle for survival along the Putumayo River in the Colombian Amazon.
As a recording artist, Parody co-leads SANCTUARY, a composer collective with Safari Riot. He spearheaded Sanctuary Vol. I, a debut release showcasing neoclassical, orchestral, and choral elements recorded live in Iceland and Los Angeles, and recently led the project's return with Vol. IV.
Parody's additional music credits include contributions to The Twilight Zone (CBS All Access/Monkeypaw Productions), All Rise (CBS), Motherland: Fort Salem (Freeform/Gary Sanchez Productions), Black Box (Amazon/Blumhouse), and Last Czars (Netflix), among others.
